Using
Advanced Outlook Express Recovery to Recover Deleted Messages

Outlook Express stores all emails of a mail folder in a corresponding .dbx file. For example, the Inbox.dbx file contains emails that are displayed in the Inbox mail folder in Outlook Express, the Outbox.dbx file contains emails that are displayed in the Outbox mail folder, and so on. If you delete several emails in a mail folder accidently, then you can use Advanced Outlook Express Recovery to scan the dbx file corresponding to the mail folder, recover the deleted emails and save them as .eml files that can be easily imported back to Outlook Express. Step 1: Find the dbx file corresponding to the mail folder if you haven't done so. Step 2: Start Advanced Outlook Express Recovery. Note: Before recovering deleted emails in a dbx file with Advanced Outlook Express Recovery, please close Outlook Express and any other applications that may modify the dbx file. Step 3: Select the dbx file where the deleted emails are to be recovered:

input the dbx filename directly or click Step 4: By default, Advanced Outlook Express Recovery will output all the recovered emails in directory xxxx_recovered, where xxxx is the name of the corrupt dbx file. For example, for file Inbox.dbx, the default output directory will be Inbox_recovered. If you want to use another directory, then please select it accordingly:

5: Click After the recovery process, if deleted emails have been recovered from the dbx file successfully, you will see a messagebox like this:

6: Now you can open a recovered email with Outlook Express
