I
accidentally delete an email in Outlook Express, how to retrieve
it? |
| |
If you delete an email from a mail
folder other than Deleted Items,
and you haven't emptied the Deleted Items mail
folder after the delete operation, then you can find the deleted
email in Deleted Items mail folder and copy it
back to the original folder. Otherwise, please use Advanced Outlook
Express Recovery to retrieve the deleted email, as follows:
1. Find the dbx file corresponding to your
folder.
2. Recover the deleted emails in the dbx file with Advanced Outlook
Express Recovery(AOEV). AOEV will output all the recovered emails
as .eml files.
3 . Import the recovered eml files into Outlook
Express.

How to determine whether AOEV can recover
deleted emails successfully, according to the results generated
by the demo version? |
 |
Please
just use the demo version to recover emails in your dbx file normally
in the "Recover" page. If there are some emails that
can be recovered from the dbx file, you will see a messagebox
after the recovery process, where you can click the "Show
Recovery Report" button and see the detailed reports of all
the recoverable emails.
According
to these information, you can know whether AOEV works on your
file and order the full version to get the contents of all the
recoverable messages.

I
failed to recover emails from my Outlook Express dbx file with Advanced
Outlook Express Recovery, why? |
 |
In general,
when an email is deleted, it will first be copied to the Deleted
Items mail folder. Therefore, after that email has been
deleted permanently, you can try to recover it from two mail folders,
the first one is the original mail folder where the email is deleted,
the second one is the Deleted Items mail folder.
If you cannot
recover the required emails from both folders, then please contact
our technical support: support@datanumen.com.
If possible, please also save the recovery log into a file(make
sure the "Include System Information" option in the
save file dialog is selected) and attach it in your e-mail.
